The Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team beat the Heritage Hurricanes, 26-0, on Tuesday putting the Dukes at 13-2 for the season.
The last game of the regular season will be next Tuesday against Woodside and will be the team’s Senior Night. The game against Woodside will decide who claims the title of the Peninsula District Champion and if Gloucester wins it will be the team’s 15th straight Peninsula District Championship.
The regional playoffs start the following week, with Gloucester hosting the regional semifinals on Monday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., with GHS playing in the second game.
