GHS field hockey improves to 6-0

The Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team added a pair of wins to its now 6-0 season against Smithfield High School and Nansemond River.
The Dukes beat the Smithfield Packers, 10-0, on Thursday at home. Reese Miller put on a show, scoring four goals and recording two assists. Addy Jeffery scored a hat trick. Charlotte Houtz scored once and recorded a team high three assists. Mackenzi Reece also knocked in one goal and recorded two assists. Mary Ashton VanFossen scored once and made an assist. Kiley Parker and Kamryn McDonough recorded an assist each.
On Tuesday, the Dukes took down Nansemond River Warriors, 4-1, at home. Hannah Symonds and Houtz both scored once and also recorded an assist each. Avery Watkins and Jeffery also scored once during the game. Miller and McDonough also had assists in the win.
