GHS field hockey blanks Lions, 8-0, in playoff game

The Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team is already rolling in the playoffs as the Dukes knocked out the Warhill Lions, 8-0, at home Monday night in the Region 4A semifinals.
Reese Miller continued her high-scoring season into the playoffs, scoring two of Gloucester’s goals. Other players recording a goal during the game were Charlotte Houtz, Kiley Parker, Avery Watkins, Chloe West, Leigha Germain and Kamryn McDonough.
Houtz led the team in assists with three while Miller, Watkins and McDonough recorded two. Abby Junker and Parker had one assist each.
Gloucester played Wednesday night at home against Jamestown in the Region 4A finals and, if the Lady Dukes win that match, they will play at home again on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
All District
The following athletes were selected All-District: Reese Miller, Mackenzi Reece, Kamryn McDonough, Abby Junker, Charlotte Houtz, Avery Watkins, McKayla Clark, Caroline Klink and Addy Zabicki were all named First Team All-District.
