The Gloucester High School cross country teams competed at the Peninsula District Meet #3 on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Machicomoco State Park, Hayes.
This meet was also Senior Night where seniors Mackenzie Alcorn, Annalise Helton, Zoe Scott, Kayla Turner, Aiden Pincince, Brayden Jackson, Isaac Torres, Joel Taylor, and Justin Sykes celebrated their accomplishments with their teammates and family. 
On the girls’ team, coming in the top 10 in the 5K for the Dukes were Rachel Blittle who placed third with a time of 23:42.83, Kayla Turner placed fourth with a time of 23:52.32, Mackenzie Alcorn placed fifth with a time of 24:54.94, and Sarah Bullins placed sixth with a time of 25:06.17.
