The Gloucester High School cross country teams competed in the Southeastern District Cross Country Invitational at Bell Mill Park in Chesapeake on Saturday.
For the girls’ team, Mackenzie Alcorn was the first to finish the 5,000-meter run for GHS with a time of 24:56.83. Coming in behind her were Rachel Blittle (25:19.46), Hannah Broadwell (25:51.76), Kayla Turner (26:21.45), Sarah Bullins (26:35.48), Hailee Jorgensen (29:32.21), Zoe Scott (30:23.09), Hannah Ridings (32:38.61), Michelle Field (32:57.31), Stella Scott (35:31.17), Chelsea Shield (35:53.40), Camille Reyes (36:18.86) and Kaitlyn Parker (40:15.94).For the boys’ team, Aiden Pincince finished in 10th place overall with a time of 18:31.31 in the 5,000-meter run. Following him for GHS were Joel Taylor (20:32.03), Erik Waters (20:37.96), Brayden Jackson (24:05.27), Logan McAllister (24:56.78), Lincoln Alcorn (25:13.30), Isaac Torres (30:06.34) and Braylin Johnson (32:49.21).
