The Gloucester High School crew finished out the season competing in the EVSRA (Eastern Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association) Championship Regatta in Elizabeth City, N.C., on April 29, taking home a first place in the Men’s Novice 4+ and in the Middle School Boys’ Novice 4+ with respectable finishes in the girls’ double and single boats. GHS rowers also competed in numerous events in the May 6 Mathews Regatta at Williams Wharf where both teams’ MN4+ boats took first- and third-place finishes, the Men’s Novice 8+ placed second, the girls placed third in Women’s Novice 4+ and the Mixed 4+ took a third-place finish.
