The Gloucester High School boys’ volleyball team finished its season this past week with a 3-2 loss to Lakeland at Jamestown High School last Saturday in region post-season play.
“This season has been a thrilling and challenging experience as I took on the role of head coach for the boys’ volleyball team,” stated Coach Lyndsey Smith. “With an 8-11 record, we faced our fair share of obstacles, but I couldn’t be more proud of what we accomplished, especially securing a regional appearance in my first year as the head coach.”Smith said she is proud of her team’s progress and is looking forward to continuing to grow the program.
“Thank you to the players, their families and everyone who supported us this season,” she said. “The journey is just beginning, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.”
The Lady Dukes fell to Smithfield, 3-1, Monday at Jamestown High School in a region match-up. They are scheduled to play again this evening at Phoebus High School.
