The post-season hopes of the Gloucester High School varsity soccer teams were dashed this past week, following a pair of shutout losses in the regional tournament.
GHS boys
After receiving a first-round bye, the top-seeded GHS boys were upset by #4 seed Warhill, 1-0, in Friday’s Class 4 Region A semifinal. The Dukes ended their season with an overall record of 12-2-1.
Several players were named to the All-District team. Those who made first team All-District included Kollin Wilson, Corey Skay, Ryan Williams, Mariner Cope and Kohlby Wilson. Kohlby Wilson also was recognized as co-Player of the Year. Those making second team were Marek Barnett, K.J. Wolford, and Gavin Blanks. Jesse Manheim received honorable mention.

Warhill also proved to be a thorn in the side of the Lady Dukes, with #4 seeded Gloucester falling to #5 seed Lions, 6-0, last Wednesday.
