The Gloucester High School boys’ tennis team fell to Poquoson, 9-0, on Monday and rolled over Woodside on Tuesday, 8-1.
Poquoson
Playing in singles matches were Ethan Whitacre, Jackson Felder, Ian Walters, Trevor Scribbins and Eli Autry.  Playing on doubles teams were Ethan Whitacre and Trevor Scribbins, Jackson Felder and Ian Walters, and John Holt and Mason Staupe.
Woodside
Jackson Felder, Walters, Whitacre, Scribbins and Autry all posted wins in Tuesday’s match against Woodside.Felder held off a strong surge from his opponent to pull off the win in the second set. The score was 6-0 in the first set and 7-5 in the second set. Whitacre got the win in two long sets. Eli Autry, Trevor Scribbins, and Ian Walters also won in two sets as well.  Whitacre suffered the day’s only loss.
In doubles play, Whitacre and Scribbins won their match 8-4, Felder and Walters won their match 8-4, and Whitacre and Staupe won their match 8-0.
