The Gloucester High School soccer teams added more wins to their records this past week.
The Dukes varsity boys’ team recorded its fifth shutout of the season Tuesday night against Denbigh, beating the Patriots, 3-0. Kolhby Wilson scored off an assist from K.J. Wolford. Ashton Williams scored off an assist from Johny Howerton. Nate Quick scored the third goal with an assist from team captain Joel Junker.
Goalkeeper Jesse Manheim kept the Patriots off the board with aid from the defensive efforts from team captain Kaden Williams, Mariner Cope, Ryan Williams and Junker.
The varsity girls’ team notched two shutout victories, both by 8-0 margins. On Monday, the girls beat Norview High School and defeated Denbigh on Tuesday night.
The latest win comes just one day after the boys ended Monday night’s match against Norview High School in a draw. To keep the match even, Jesse Manheim made a save off a penalty kick to ensure the tie.
