GHS basketball falls to Eagles, Warriors

The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams suffered another tough week on the road, losing all of their games.
The boys fell to the Jamestown Eagles, 66-55, last Thursday. The game was close throughout with Gloucester holding the lead through the first half. However, the Dukes were outscored in the third quarter and failed to recover in the fourth. Dylan DeYoung led Gloucester in scoring with a total of 15 points. The Gloucester girls forfeited their Thursday night game against the Eagles.
Kecoughtan
Friday night, Gloucester was on the road again to face the Kecoughtan Warriors. The Lady Dukes lost to Kecoughtan, 53-37. The Gloucester boys also lost to the Warriors, 79-48. Bryce Monroe led the Dukes in scoring with 14 points.
Gloucester basketball will return to its home court on Friday night when it faces Woodside.
