GHA awards five scholarships

Thanks to a generous donation by the Kenneth & Patricia A. Hall Charitable Foundation, the Guinea Heritage Association was able to award five scholarships this year.
The $1,000 C.B. Rowe Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Madison Gross. She will attend Randolph-Macon College where she plans to major in biology on the pre-med track.
The $1,000 Guinea Heritage Association Scholarship was awarded to Kyleigh Johnson. Johnson heads to the Old Dominion University Honors College in the fall, to major in marine biology.
Two $1,000 Mac Sisson Technical/Vocational Scholarships were awarded this year, to Gracie King and Rebekah White. King will study at Rappahannock Community College to become a registered nurse working within cardiology or critical care. White will begin nursing school at RCC in August with a future goal of receiving a master’s degree in nursing to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practit...
