Thanks to a generous donation by the Kenneth and Patricia A. Hall Charitable Foundation, the Guinea Heritage Association was able to award five scholarships in 2023.
The $5,000 Kenneth A. Hall Scholarship was renewed for James-Logan Hall. Hall is a third-year student at Virginia Tech pursuing majors in management, consulting, and entrepreneurship from the Pamplin School of Business.
The $1,000 C.B. Rowe Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Kailey Ormsby. Ormsby will attend Rappahannock Community College after which she plans to complete a degree in education at Christopher Newport University.
A $1,000 Guinea Heritage Association Scholarship was awarded to BriAnn Graves. Graves will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall to study music. She plans on working in the music industry as a singer, songwriter, or producer.
