Gerald Brock, 61, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Duplin County, N.C., and was employed by Dominion Virginia Power for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Jerrel Brock; two brothers, Tommy and Jerry Brock.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Christopher; his mother, Atlee Whaley Brock; siblings, Ann and her husband Joe, Betty and her husband Mike, Patricia, Greg and his wife Tracy, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, from 3-4 p.m. with funeral services starting at 4 o’clock. Graveside services were held on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Brock Cemetery in Beulaville, N.C. In celebration of Gerald’s life and his love of life, the family asked that those attending the services wear tropical casual clothing.
