George Calvin Williams, Sr., 84, of Mathews, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 13, 2023.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Shelly, and four children, Alissa (Wayne), Koren, George Jr., and Desmond (Andrea); one brother, the Rev. Alvenus Williams Jr. (Barbara). Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Alvenus Sr. and Olivia Williams, and a sister, Barbara.

All services will be held at First Baptist Church Mathews. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 20 from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 12 p.m.

Interment will be held at First Baptist Church Cemetery.
