George C. Smith Sr. of Susan, Va., passed over on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the age of 93.

He was predeceased by his parents, Floyd R. and Virginia H. Smith; his wife, Virginia Ruth; son, Jerry Allen, and a brother, Garland.

He retired from Fort Monroe, N.S.W.C.

Left to cherish his wonderful memories are his son, George Smith Jr. (Donna); a daughter, Beverly Driscoll (Danny); five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life was held at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va., on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11 a.m.
