Roger Eugene "Gene" Arnold, of Gloucester, born Nov. 12, 1940 to Timothy and Mary Spurgeon Arnold, passed away at home Nov. 24, 2011.

He was beloved "Papa" to many and a Godly man that was led by his life of faith. Gene was an Elder at Cornerstone Fellowship Church where he served for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; his children, Ward, Vicki and her husband Garland, Rhonda and her friend Robert, and Michael and his wife Cheryl; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Chris Morgan and Pastor Gary Ross were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Fellowship Church. Interment followed in Severn Church Cemetery. The family received friends Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
