Riverside Gloucester Gastroenterology opened Jan. 28. Shannon Fedors, marketing business partner for Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, said the local practice is an extension of Riverside Williamsburg Gastroenterology, a full-service gastroenterology practice.

Locally, the practice’s physicians will see patients Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the offices of Dr. Fredrick S. Arnold of Riverside Walter Reed Urology, at 7552 Hospital Drive, Suite 302. Three physicians will conduct screening colonoscopies, small bowel capsule endoscopies, and a procedure to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach and part of the small intestine.

Board-certified doctors Joseph Converse, Shahwali Arezo and John Long—all gastroenterologists—will see patients for gastrointestinal complaints, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), abdominal pain or lower bowel complaints.
