Last year was a difficult one for most of us, and partial relief is still in the future as we await distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. This terrible disease has affected all of us in some way. Many people have lost family members or friends to COVID-19, and many are struggling financially and emotionally, faced with loss of employment and a place to live.
Parents of school-age children face trying situations. Sometimes the children attend school; at other times, they learn online from home. Moms and dads must adjust their schedules and juggle work and teaching hours. These changes are not easy for children, either. Their regular schedules are disrupted, and they can’t participate in their usual activities, or even spend time with friends. Life is not normal in the age of COVID.
I empathize with parents who must endure these unfortunate conditions, but I have no firsthand experience with the trials they face in juggling home, work, and school. I can only imagine how exhausting the lo...
