Three riverfront homes and gardens in Gloucester will be open to visitors on Saturday in the 2025 segment of Historic Garden Week in Virginia.
Locally sponsored by the Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews, the tour includes Exchange and Blythelea on the North River, and Holly Knoll on the York River. An army of volunteers will arrange the flowers, greet visitors and park cars as this year’s tour continues a tradition begun locally in 1930.
Admission is by ticket, which can be obtained through vagardenweek.org. The ticket also provides admission to the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester.
Garden Week in Virginia is organized by the Garden Club of Virginia to support restoration of historic gardens and landscapes and research fellowships into historic landscapes.
Full details about this year’s tour can be found on pages 7B-11B in this week's paper.
