It may be cold outside, but now is the time to start thinking about what kind of garden you’ll be planting this spring. The Virginia Cooperative Extension Services Garden Planner contains lots of important tips and information for the hobbyist.

The Garden Planner was available to attendees at the last meeting of Planters with a Purpose, the new Mathews Community Gardeners group, and is still available for the asking at no cost while supplies last.
The Garden Planner is a handy, easy-to-use planning tool for the home and hobby gardener. The chart shows proper indoor and outdoor planting times relative to average spring and fall killing frost dates for common garden vegetables and provides basic planting data. This information also makes a great shopping list.
