The Beautification Committee and members of the Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews assembled and created 30 wreaths for the residents of Sanders Assisted Living in Gloucester on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
“GCGM is always honored and delighted to share the holiday spirit with the staff and residents of Sanders Assisted Living,” said Beautification Committee chair and board member Vicki Dreelin. “We have a long history of serving the community, and will do so for many years to come,” said Dreelin.
The Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews was founded in 1928 and is a member club of the Garden Club of Virginia. The club is an exclusively charitable and educational organization that works to aid or promote the following within the communities it serves: gardening; protection of native trees, wildflowers and birds; encouragement of the conservation of natural resources; promotion of civic planting; encouragement of roadside beautification, and the restoration and preservation of historic gardens...
