Gallery reopens with limited hours

The Bay School’s Art Speaks Gallery on Main Street in Mathews reopened Tuesday with limited hours during the state’s Phase 1 schedule for reopening.
Visitors are welcome to stop by from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and by appointment on Saturdays.
“Staff and visitor safety and comfort are the highest priority,” said a press release, stating further that the gallery will be limited to 10 guests at a time, face masks will be mandatory for both staff and visitors, and guests are asked to maintain appropriate social distancing.
A hand sanitization station will be at the front door, said the release, and guests are asked to sanitize their hands and refrain from touching any artwork or objects. No food or drink will be allowed in the gallery, and the restrooms will not be available for public use.
These guidelines will remain in place throughout Phase 1, said the release, but may be adjusted as needed.
