The Gwynn’s Island Raw Bar Run is set to take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, offering participants a new running experience in the 11th annual event.
For the past 10 years, the Mathews Outdoor Club has been the sole event organizer of the “Gwynn’s Island Race”; the MOC is now in partnership with The Hatchery Oyster Eatery and has rebranded the run.
The event features a new 5K course that starts and finishes at Callis Wharf and follows the stunning island views of the Piankatank River and Milford Haven. The event will be located at 425 Callis Wharf Road, Grimstead.
Registration is open and participants are encouraged to register early, as there will be no race day registrations and the event will be capped due to limited parking, a release said. The race fee is $30, which includes some small swag items, a post-race celebration including live music at the waterfront, food truck, access to a free oyster raw bar and a beer ticket (21+), and a gift certificate for a future visit to...
