Machicomoco State Park has a busy schedule of programs next month and people are invited to explore the Hayes park and take part in the activities.
People are invited to sign up for a guided paddle trip, express your artistic self during Nature Journaling or Paint the Park, or learn about the history, culture and story of persistence of the Indigenous Peoples of Virginia during the park’s Mystery of History Hike. “Our rangers are excited to spend the summer building memories with you and your friends and family,” said Chief Ranger Josh Mazzatenta.
Machicomoco is located on a peninsula of land between Timberneck and Cedarbush creeks and the York River at 3601 Timberneck Farm Road. For more information, visit the park’s website at www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/machicomoco or call the park office at 804-642-2419.
