Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring The Full Hike on Saturday, Oct. 21. The 9.5-mile walk from one end of Beaverdam Park to the other begins at 9 a.m.
Those taking part are encouraged to bring water and snacks, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. The registration fee is $5 and the deadline to register is Saturday.
KARATE: Karate classes for ages 4 through adult will be held on Mondays or Thursdays from the week of Oct. 30 through the week of Jan. 22 at T.C. Walker. Ages 4-7 meet from 6-6:30 p.m. and the fee is $ 43. Ages 8-12 meet from 6:40-7:20 p.m. and the fee is $ 45. A family class, adult/child, is held from 7:30-8:10 p.m. and the fee is $40 for adult and $35 for child. Ages 13 and older meet from 8:20-9:00 and the fee is $45.
