The Friends of Dragon Run Nature Walk that was rained out last month has been rescheduled for 1-3 p.m. this Sunday, Feb. 11.
This walk will be held at Powcan in Essex County, a few miles from Millers Tavern. Volunteers will take guests on trails through a wetland area where the Dragon Run originates and to a pond created by a large beaver dam. Apple cider and light snacks will be served after the walk “to stoke your appetite for Super Bowl fare,” a release stated.
You must be a member to participate in the walk. Members may bring family members and guests. If you’re not a member go to DragonRun.org to join.
This event is free, but registration is required. Go to DragonRun.org and click the Register button on the home page. Please include names of all participants. The Powcan tract is located several miles off Route 360. Directions and more information will be sent after you register. If you registered for the Jan. 28 Nature Walk, there is no need to register again.
