Kati Booth will speak on “Accelerating Wetland Restoration in the Bay on Private and Public Lands” at the next meeting of the Friends of the Dragon Run.
The meeting will be held on the Zoom platform at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23.
Booth is the Nature Conservancy’s Virginia Wetlands Program Manager for the Chesapeake Bay. The presentation will cover her work on non-tidal wetland restoration in agricultural fields, tidal marsh restoration using dredge material, dam removal on tidal creeks, and upcoming opportunities for engaging the public (SAV monitoring, coastal kayak tours, etc.).

Sign-ups for FODRs spring paddle trips on the Dragon Run begin on March 8; the paddle season runs from April 18 to May 22.
