Whether you love bats or fear them, you may want to attend the next meeting of the Friends of the Dragon Run.
Bonnie Miles, a bat specialist and an active member of Bat Conservation International, will present the program at the group’s next meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in the Community Room of the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center.
Miles will present both basic and little known facts about bats. She will discuss how bats benefit our ecosystems, and discuss the threats to survival that bats face today. Her talk will be illustrated with photos that demonstrate how bats are beautiful, cute, not-so-cute, interesting, and unique, a release stated. The event is free and open to the public.
