“I really want to vote. I just don’t have a ride to the polls.” Well, Bay Transit has taken that excuse off the list. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Election Day, Bay Transit, the public transportation division of Bay Aging, will provide free rides to and from the polls any time between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Safe, reliable, free rides to and from the polls are available to any resident of the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, Charles City, or New Kent County who makes their reservations on or before Oct. 31. “Simply call the Bay Transit Ride Line at 877-869-6046 by Oct. 31 to make your reservation,” said Bay Transit director Ken Pollock. “All of our buses are wheelchair accessible and lift equipped, so Bay Transit can provide transportation for ambulatory and non-ambulatory voters to and from the polls,” Pollock added.
