Bay Transit is providing free rides to and from the polls to help area residents get out to vote on Nov. 7. On Election Day, Bay Transit will provide free rides to and from the polls any time between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Safe, reliable, free rides to and from the polls are available to any resident of the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, Charles City, or New Kent County who makes their reservations on or before Tuesday, Oct. 31. This year, Bay Transit is also offering free transportation to and from county registrar’s offices or voter registration offices for early voting (which began on Sept. 22) on any weekday during normal hours of operation. Jerry Reynolds, above, is shown using this free service during the 2022 election. For more information, visit the Bay Transit website at www.BayTransit.org.
