The Gloucester NAACP Health Committee, in collaboration with Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Eta Chapter, will host Prostate Cancer Early Detection Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic, 6031 Industrial Drive, Gloucester (across from Sentara Gloucester Medical Arts).
The program includes free PSA tests and DRE exams, as well as presentations, and other resources regarding prostate cancer. In addition, there will also be experts to talk about nutrition and diabetes. Blood pressure checks will also be available.
Also sponsoring the event is Sentara Community Health Education, Hampton Roads Prostate Health Forum, Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, and the GMCC. This event is free, and all are welcome to attend.
