Fred Samuel Miles Floyd, age 64, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at his home in Susan, Va.

He owned his own business and was a flooring mechanic for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Hall Floyd; his children, Fred S. M. II (Barbara), Fred M. Jr., Shelia (Gary), Tina (Dennis) and Samantha (Chris); grandchildren, Jason (Siobhan), Amanda, Timothy, Anthony, Dennis Jr. and Aidan; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Tye and Ingrym; three sisters, Wray F. Smith (Tommy), Sarah F. Holder (Guy), and Barbara F. Hampton (Tom); four brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Fred had many friends that he included as his family; many special neighbors that he adored. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

The family received friends on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial in St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan.
