Franklin A. Childers, U.S. Navy retired, 64, passed away Nov. 5, 2011.

He was born Dec. 26, 1946 in Huntington, W.Va.

He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Eileen Childers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Gloucester; children, Lori Harmon, Carol Louise Childers, Terina Childers Murphy, and Michelle Sasha Childers; siblings, Sadie Moleen Proffitt, Gerold Lou Childers, William Eugene Childers, Carol Ellen Smith, and Dianna Purdue; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
