Frank Jay Robertson Jr., 55, of Middlesex County, passed away on Feb. 6, 2014 after a long battle with heart disease.
He was born June 17, 1958 in Annapolis, Md.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank Jay Robertson Sr. and Alida Wallace Robertson.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly A. Robertson; his daughter, Falon J. Robertson; two sons, Forrest J. Robertson and Frank J. Robertson III, both of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Ruby Robertson and Kendra Robertson, both of North Carolina, and a brother, Wallace “Robbie” Robertson of Virginia.
Frank served in the U.S. Army for 12 years. He was known for his infectious sense of humor that he shared with his friends and family. He loved to golf and enjoyed a variety of courses. He loved to play soccer and coached youth soccer with Gloucester Baystars for several years. He was an avid guitar player and was the former rhythm guitar player for the band Bad Ace. He was often found selling goods at Stagecoach Market in Gloucester.
A memorial service will be held at the American Legion Post #75, on Route 17 in Gloucester, Va., on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 3 p.m. There will be a gathering of family and friends immediately following the service at the post.
