A memorial service for Frances Townsend Walker, 75, of New Point, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beulah United Methodist Church in New Point. She died Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

Mrs. Walker was a member of Beulah U.M. Church, Beech Community Grange, TRIAD, and was a Red Cross blood donor. She acted as greeter, ticket-taker and official “hugger” at Donk’s Theater in Hudgins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucious Carlton Walker of Chester.

Survivors include her son, Lucious Ralph Walker of Chesterfield; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The service was conducted by the Rev. DeDe Parrish. Interment will be private in Chester, Va.

Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of the arrangements.
