Four students earn UUFR scholarships

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock in White Stone has announced its annual Servetus Endowment Scholarships for four area public high school graduates: Alana Crystrunk of Lancaster High School; Annabelle Morgan of Mathews High School; Alyssa Mitchem of Middlesex High School, and Courtney Kline of Northumberland High School.
Each student receives a $4,000 scholarship for the first year. The program supports students in the first year, and continues to support them as they move through their college years. The four students were invited to meet the Servetus Fund trustees and each other at a luncheon at the Tides Inn on May 27.
“Our scholars keep us informed semi-annually as they progress toward their goals,” said Barbara Haynes, one of the trustees. “Invariably, challenges appear along the way. We hope to be help with those challenges where we can.”
Crystrunk will attend Howard University for a master’s degree in business, to focus on guiding business organizations....
