Four charged with carrying firearms on school property found not guilty

The four men charged with carrying firearms onto school property during a Gloucester school board meeting last summer were found not guilty of the felony charge following a jury trial last week.
Trevor Herrin, one of the four men, was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor. The other three had active concealed carry permits, which Herrin did not.
After about an hour’s deliberation, the jury’s verdict came Friday after-noon in Gloucester Circuit Court in the trial that began on Wednesday, July 17.
During the July 11, 2023 Gloucester County School Board meeting held in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium, Herrin of Williamsburg, Derek Coblentz of Prospect, Christopher Cordasco of Williamsburg, and Antonio Hernandez of Fishersville, brought firearms onto the property. All four were charged with carrying firearms onto school property, a Class 6 felony, three days later.
