Dr. Paul Malone, a retired psychologist with a 53-year career, will host a forum to help those affected by loss. In his three-year battle with cancer, Dr. Malone, 84, has remained positive and found peace.
All are welcome to this free event to be held at the Urbanna Baptist Church, 121 Watling Street, at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 31.
Malone, formerly of Urbanna and now residing in Houston, Texas, will share his personal experience with stage 4 cancer and his wife’s seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s dementia, and how his life surprisingly changed for the better.The floor will be open to attendees to share their experiences. The forum’s purpose is to learn from each other about obstacles encountered in coping, methods used to overcome those obstacles, and resources available in our area, plus to be inspired by the individuals in our own community.
