The Halloween party will come off as scheduled on Saturday evening, Oct. 31, at “Cedar Lodge,” the home of Mr. E.M. Maxwell. Madam Nosoucki, of Norfolk, will come up for the occasion, especially to forecast the future for the anxious lads and lassies, the old maids and bachelors. If the program is carried out as planned, the affair will be the most enjoyable yet given by the young folks of Providence. Let no one miss it.

A distressing accident occurred Wednesday evening about 7 o’clock, when Mr. Blaine Kimball received a gunshot wound in the thigh. Mr. Kimball, who during the war was Lieutenant Commander of a transport, has been spending some time in the county with his wife, visiting his father, Mr. Charles Kimball, and his wife’s mother, Mrs. John Moore.
