Former NAACP President and CEO Ben Jealous will hold a free lecture and book signing this Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Gloucester colonial courthouse. Jealous will speak on his new book, “Never Forget Our People Were Always Free: A Parable of American History.”
The book is a series of parables inspired by Jealous’s own life and mentions events from Gloucester’s history. Doors for the event will open 30 minutes prior to its start and those wanting to attend are encouraged to arrive early.
