The Abingdon Ruritan Club will hold its Food Truck Frenzy from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on the festival grounds in Bena. Admission is free and five food trucks will be participating—Papa Murphy’s, Shore Bites, Wild Horse Café, AR Smokehouse and a funnel cake truck.
Multiple vendors will also be on site, along with a beer and wine garden, face painting, children’s obstacle course and cornhole. Members of Blackbeard’s Crew, a pirate reenactment group, will be in attendance, demonstrating rope making, navigation, weapons and boarding procedures and cannon firing. They will also conduct the Scallywag School for Aspiring Pirates for youngsters.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ Dallas, Farren Winter and the Page Middle School Select Ensemble (Karen Scalf, choral director), the Rising Sons and an Elvis impersonator.
