Flat Iron Crossroads has a busy weekend ahead, with bands lined up to perform Friday and Saturday at the new music venue just off Ware Neck Road in Gloucester.
The Tidewinders of Mathews will start the weekend off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with their blend of traditional bluegrass standards mixed with original compositions and familiar songs from many genres. The show runs to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.
On Saturday, Clayton (C-Wills) Williams, the “new voice of Garifuna music,” will perform from 7:30–9:30 p.m. Garifuna music blends African polyrhythms with Carib-Indian based language to produce a unique and exciting World Music. Williams, who is from from Belize, was named the best new artist and won album of the year at the Garifuna Music Award Ceremony in New York City. Tickets are $10.
