Fishing: some good, some not so good

Susan correspondent reports that it seems now that the fishing will not prove so profitably as was expected, some are said to be making good money, while the majority are not doing so well, prices are declining while the catch is not improving, just at this time there is a big run of hard heads or king bills on.
A quiet marriage was celebrated on last Sunday at 7 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Ella V. Diggs, the bride’s mother. The contracting parties Mr. Gilbert Handy, of New Point, and Mrs. Julia White, widow of Mr. Charlie White, deceased. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.R. Laughton, after which the happy couple with a number of their friends started to Bethel Church under a shower of rice and congratulations. May their lives be long, useful and happy.
