The gasoline bugeye owned and sailed by Capt. John Taylor of New Point and the fish steamer Poquoson collided near Wolf Trap light Monday night. The bugeye was sunk by the collision to the level of the water but all the crew were able to get aboard the steamer which then towed the damaged boat back to Williams Wharf.
Mr. S.P. James is writing insurance to beat the band but at the same time is whooping up the grocery business for all it is worth. On every Saturday he sells for cost and has a crowd on the string all day. The good people from all the county round coming in to take advantage of the opportunity for saving.
