Thanksgiving dinner was served to over 150 people at Kingston Episcopal Parish House in Mathews on Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, thanks to the generosity of the members of Christ Episcopal Church, Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church and Antioch Baptist Church. Some church members (above) included time in their holiday to serve others a Thanksgiving meal. According to Richard Rilee of Kingston, the group originally planned for 125 meals and was delighted at the large turnout. “For the first time and not knowing what to expect, everybody was just as pleased as they could be,” he said. He said that the program might expand to include other Mathews churches.
