The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ varsity swim teams had their final meet of the season last Thursday, where they competed against Menchville and Woodside high schools. The GHS boys competed strongly, but fell to both opposing teams. The girls lost to Menchville, but came away with a win against Woodside. During the meet, Auggie Baker earned a new team record in the 100M freestyle. The girls’ team also achieved improved times for personal records. The boys ended their season with a record of 6-4 and the girls improved to 8-2. Both teams will compete next at the region meet on Feb. 9.
