FFA holds winter degree ceremony

The Gloucester Future Farmers of America chapter held its winter degree ceremony on Friday. FFA degrees reward active members for progress in leadership, skills and occupational development.
After members complete their first agricultural education class, they receive their Greenhand Degree. After completing their second course, they earn their Chapter Degree. In order to receive a degree, students must also complete community service hours, be knowledgeable about FFA, and participate in chapter activities.
GHS Greenhand Degree recipients included Braxten Abelar, Delisha Minor, Kara Willoughby, Faith Sweat and Emma Hogge.
Those who received their Chapter Degree were Alexandra Byser, Addy Bilodeau and Delaney Webb-Dyson.Virginia FFA State Sentinel Ryan Livesay attended the ceremony.
