Holiday happenings are in full swing now in Gloucester and Mathews counties. The Gloucester Resource Council’s Festival of Trees will begin this weekend’s fun tomorrow, followed by Gloucester’s Christmas & Holiday Parade on Saturday.
Festival of Trees will be held from 5-8 o’clock Friday night along Main Street and within the historic court circle in Gloucester. More than 20 organizations and businesses will participate by decorating trees or wreaths that promote their mission and/or services.
Families are encouraged to take part in a seek-and-find activity along Main Street. There will also be photo opportunities available.
Saturday
Gloucester County’s Christmas & Holiday Parade will step off from Main Street Center at 3 p.m. Saturday, traveling along Main Street until it reaches Botetourt Elementary School.
Stick around after the parade for the annual tree lighting in the court circle, sponsored by the Cook Foundation and Gloucester Main Street Association.
