Seven members of the Mathews High School chapter of the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) represented the county at the State Leadership and Recognition Conference last weekend in Virginia Beach. Those attending included, front row from left, Hannah McBurney, Arieona Stokes, Vanessa Boyd; back row, Carrie Hudgins, Brianna Thomas. Mya Schroeder, and Kristen Hudgins. Six of the students are wearing their bronze medals won for their STAR Event Chapter Service Project Displays. The seventh student served as a STAR Event attendant.
